Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs

Ojo Caliente’s tradition runs as deep as our mineral hot springs. We became the country’s first health spa when we opened the doors of our bathhouse in 1868, and since then, people have traveled from near and far to absorb the mental and physical health benefits of soaking in pools rich in healing minerals, built out of the landscape. Each of our hot spring pools is naturally sulfur-free and rich in four elements: iron, arsenic, soda, and lithia.

    Our Legendary Waters

    Ojo Caliente:

Our communal thermal soaking pools and private pools are typically between approximately 98 and 105 degrees fahrenheit. Currently, we have eight pools are open for soaking: Iron, Soda, Lithia, Upper & Lower Cliffsides, Arsenic, Big Pool, and Mud Pool. Every pool flows with pure mineral water straight from our hot springs and naturally rich in iron, lithia, arsenic, and soda.

Our communal thermal soaking pools are typically between 98 and 104 degrees fahrenheit. The heated, outdoor seasonal Saltwater pool—typically open from May through September—usually hovers around 85 degrees.

All pools are constantly refilling with naturally filtered water straight from the source—our aquifer, located right here in our lush haven. Our water purification system includes three steps: 12-micron filter, UV filter and ozone filter.
