The ritual of immersing yourself in hot, spring-fed pools can be a profoundly cathartic experience as you allow the pure water to melt away worries and tension. We seek not only to be good stewards of these ancient healing waters, but curators of unexpectedly transformative experiences. There’s a reason seekers and travelers have long been drawn to these springs, which bestow lush, verdant life to the desert landscape. You may come for a simple soak, but you may discover a renewed energy that stays with you long after you depart.

Communal Spring-Fed Pools
Surrounded by Ojo hammocks, lounge chairs and a welcoming fire pit, our thermal pools are constantly flowing with triple-filtered spring water from Ojo’s own natural aquifer. Our thermal soaking pools offer three spacious soaking areas including the pond side Repose pools, Sages pool, and Saltwater swimming pool. All pools are gently heated to varying temperatures so you can soak where your body feels best. Try a short, hot soak or linger longer in a cooler pool. Our shared soaking areas are a great place to softly chat, or meet other travelers on their own journeys.

Saltwater Swimming Pool
Our seasonal saltwater swimming pool is the largest in Santa Fe, and offers a chance to lap a heated, outdoor junior Olympic-size pool beside grand cottonwood trees. In lieu of relying on harsh chemicals, we leverage the natural purifying power of saline, which is super gentle even on sensitive eyes and skin. The pool is surrounded by swaying hammocks and shady cabanas—the ideal place to lounge with a book and a playlist on a perfect summer day.
Our Seasonal Saltwater Swimming Pool is open from May – October. Use of saltwater pool is included with Day Soaking pass and not sold seperately.

Ojo Santa Fe Float Tank
For serious stress relief, escape from everything in the float tank at our Santa Fe hotel and spa. In this sound- and light-proof chamber, you’ll find the ultimate adventure in solitude: total sensory deprivation. The float tank is filled with pure and ultra-saturated salt water, enabling you to float effortlessly in a warm, shallow pool. As you lose track of space and time in your 50-minute session, you may notice a profound sense of calm and a release of anxiety — a unique spa experience.

Private Soaking ~ Reservations Required
Soak in seclusion in an outdoor Ojito pool or private soaking tub. Our Ojito soaking pools have space for up to four guests, and feature their own outdoor shower and a Kiva fireplaces stocked with Piñon logs. Our one-person private tubs are ideal for soaking in solitude. Whether you choose an Ojito pool or a tub, you’ll enjoy your own private, open-air soaking chamber featuring wood-slat privacy paneling that you can open for views of the cottonwood lined pond, or close for complete seclusion. All private soaking guests have access to a handful of exclusive steam showers.

Please Whisper While You Soak
In order to maintain our tranquil environment we ask all guests to use low voices while soaking and enjoying the grounds.
Robes, Towels and Lockers
Day soaking and spa appointments include a towel and locker. You are welcome to provide your own robe and sandals. If you would like to rent a robe, the cost is $18. If you’re staying overnight with us, your room is stocked with two robes. We recommend all guests bring sandals, water bottle, and mineral based (oil free) sunscreen.
When you arrive
Upon your arrival for day soaking, private soaking or spa services please check in at Spa. We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the start of your private soaking or spa service appointment so that you have plenty of time to check in and get settled. If you are joining us for day soaking, simply arrive at your leisure between 10am – 10pm daily.
To protect the integrity of our waters and the health of our guests, before entering the pools, please shower with our signature Ojo body wash until you are completely free of lotions and oils. Oil-free mineral sunscreen may be worn in the pools.
Our Naturally Pure Water
Our communal spring-fed soaking pools and private pools are typically between approximately 98 and 105 degrees fahrenheit. There are seven natural spring water pools spread accross three different soaking zones including; Pondside Repose Pools, Sages Pool, Saltwater Pool and Hot Tub.Â
Our waters are pure and straight from the source, gently heated to varying temperatures so you can soak to your bodies delight. We recommend guests use mineral based (oil free) sunscreen to help protect the integrity of the waters. It is available for purchase in our gift shop.
Resort Policies
- When in soaking areas, we ask that guests use whisper voices to maximize the opportunity for relaxation.
- Swimwear is optional during private soaking sessions, but proper swim attire is required in communal soaking areas.
- Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in the soaking areas, but are welcome in guest rooms and the Blue Heron Restaurant. Guests age 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
- Please silence phones and no phone conversations while in soaking areas; please refrain from taking photos of anyone not in your party.
- Smoking is prohibited everywhere on property.
- Pets are not allowed at Ojo Santa Fe. Any unattended pets may result in a fine and will reported to animal control.
- Alcohol, glass containers, and outside food are not permitted in soaking areas. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase the gift shop.
- In the event of inclement weather, such as lightning, we may vacate and close the pools until it is safe for soakers to return.Â
- Age requirement for all spa treatments is 18+
Day Soaking, No Reservations Needed
No reservations are required, or accepted for Day Soaking. All passes are sold at entry and are first come, first serve.
Lightning and Weather
In the event that lightning is within 10 miles of the resort, all pools will be evacuated until it is safe to return to the waters.
