Hiking, Biking & Birding
Our mineral springs resort and spa is located at the gateway to scenic and precious public lands, managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), where the adventurous can explore arid, high-elevation, trails by foot or bike. The trailhead, located just a short stroll from the Main Lobby, offers instant access to Northern New Mexico’s rugged high desert wilds.

Bird lovers—and anyone with an appreciation for nature—can stroll under the towering cottonwood trees, along the Rio Ojo Caliente, on our Bosque Loop Trail. Here you can see for yourself how, during migration, the unique bosque habitat hosts flocks of enchanting migratory birds.

Please remember that Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs sits in a rugged, natural environment. Be cautious of wildlife and trail navigation when utilizing the BLM trails. The BLM does not provide a trial map, and trails are not well marked. Download the All Trails App for a map of the area.
